Anyone live in Iraq
Bagdhad?
Party tomorrow?
..probably not still I can always have one on my own!
I lived in Dubai LT ago and it drove me nuts - I lived on Jumeirah with a couple of constructors who were building the drydock and the airport was new. The first one. Not the new one. ........em..
I've been promoted to the GnZ - Green Zone - not green, not a zone fairly funny place. Dodgey neigbours.
So to cut a long story short - party at my place you are all welcome - well more so than some of the folks that live around. Bring a bottle!! - Bring an IV set as well...and some booze.
Is this what we are supposed to do as newcomers? I could send money but I know it would offend.
I come from Essex but locally a genius - locally there; locally here is a different matter you do not really need to be a genius to work in Iraq.

I gently enquired about 'all risks' insurance - that would pay my little angels a chunky sum if anything happened to me, and would include terrorist incidents, car bomb, etc (I don't care about me, but my kids.........well, you know......!!).
Anyway the premium quoted by a Lloyds of London syndicate of underwriters (or whatever they are called) was GBP 85,000 for a three-day trip - for GBP 2 million of cover.
I didn't go..........
