Default Anyone know of a good curtain company in Dubai?

I've got no fittings & fixtures at all so figured i'd just pay someone to sort it all out.............

Got quoted 11435 Dhs for black out blinds & curtains in the bedroom and just curtains in the lounge which seems like a lot to me - this does include fitting, labour etc and the windows are massive - but still........

If i just get some from IKEA or somewhere can anyone recommend someone to install them for me?

Sedar, near the place where they do the Monday quiz nights (Diyafa St?).

Should that actually say Dhs 1,435? If so, that isn't bad if they are being made for you depending in the size of the window. I have just paid Dhs 1,250 for some very large silk (& lined) curtains to be made to measure and fitted.

I like the way they quoted you 11435dhs, as if the 35dhs demonstrated they really weren't just trying to see just how much they could try and take the P out of you..

Unless your lounge and bedroom has about 15 floor to ceiling windows of course...

Someone is taking the piss.

I use Sense Furnishings tel 04 349 4877. Their shop is on Plant Street in Satwa and they have hundred of sample books. Once they had measured up it took 5 days for them to return to hang the new curtains.

I suggest you Juma Al Majed (it's below Maktom bridge - going to Deira exit the main road on the right just before the bridge - take the roundaboat & you'll see it on the left side)

For 2 windows - width 2.5 meters each - i spent 1800 dhs. Nice curtains - quite fast - quite professional

Someone did their entire 5 bed villa in AD which included pelmets, blackouts and plush curtains for 9000Dhs all fitted, so it does sound like they are taking the piss.

I have been dealing with The Home Specialists for years, they have done all my curtains and blinds and they do a fantastic job! They can also send somebody to hang your curtains for a very reasonable price. Contact Number is 04 323 3348.
