Could be a virus - there has been a tummy bug going around Abu Dhabi that has vomiting & stomach cramp symptoms. Could also be heat-stroke/de-hydration... which can be very serious, you have to be careful. I'm sure the doc will sort you out.

Get well soon!!

I am not a doctor, but I have heard of similar symptoms before. Dehydration coupled with stress, change of diet, different water. All builds up & leads to a person feeling awful.

I've seen a Dr and he called it "Travellers Disease" coupled with severe dehydrattion. I have some drugs and I got some of that Pocari Sweat so I'm going to take my drugs and drink my Pocari and have a wee lie down. Thanks for all the good advice.

Cheers

Meow, you missed your vocation....

Good luck Larnie - when you get better, pocari sweat goes quite well with gin...

Glad it is nothing dreadful - at least the doctor has set your mind at rest.

Enjoy your Pocari - nice in a tall glass with lots of ice - and make the most of the excuse to take it easy.

A more natural alternative to Pocari is:
Fill 1/4 glass of boiling water and add a pinch or two of salt and a spoon of sugar and stir. When it is all dissolved squeeze in some lemon juice and top up with ice water and/or ice.
It is faster acting but has less of the electrolytes which your body may not need if it is not dehydrated from activity and therefore make your liver work harder to rid your body of them.

Hey guys and thanks!!

For your support. I think I'm feeling a bit better having spent the whole day in bed taking my drugs and drinking heaps. I appreciate all your input as was feeling a bit isolated and lonely. Good news though our International Licence's arrived today so we can rent a car and get "Out and about in Al Ain". Hopefully I should be fully recovered by weekend.

Cheers
