I'm still admiring the inventive use of "loci" in the previous post...

we noticed that at seashore villa's there is quite a few 4 bedrooms empty, but look as if they have not been accepted yet or indeed handed over.

We are looking at moving in January so hopefully something will come up.

Very good AA.
AD is a good place to be - personally I prefer it to Dubai and don't think it is an Abbyss at all.

Look at Aldar.com-they have invented a Leasing Company to manage properties at Al Raha Gardens-across the the road from Al Raha Beach. Were intended to be saleable properties-remember only specific areas in AD are open to Expats for investments- but the uptake hasn't been as expiditious as predicted...then again- anyone who can count will realise that rental income on these properties would far exceed purchase price...over a period of time of course. The attractive thing abvout these properties : spec reputedly first class and maintainence via Aldar fairly reliable.Again they are in KCA so amenities limited. If you want family house on island- Liwa Village - starting 245+ for small 4 beds.

Re Al Raha Gardens-
Know a few people who are moving into townhouses there-same houses, diff rents.Go direct to Aldar via website-not thru any Bank,Agent or charlatan.Rent varies as much as +45k depending on who you deal with.

A friend of mine works for a consultant who is and did supervise the contractor on the Al Raha Villas - he tells me the concrete frame is superb but the finishes are abysmal, perhaps they sorted it out pre handover? He told me the contractor in question didn't give two s**ts about the quality
