American (NTSC) video transfer
I was notified today that a VHS video I have had on order at Sendit.com is finally arriving - after nearly a year!
It's a deleted title, so you basically have to wait until a second-hand one is available.
The problem is that I have a feeling it might be NTSC, and in which case, what would be the cheapest way to play it or get it dubbed? I would rather not pay more than Dh200 - and I don't mind either buying a cheap NTSC VHS player if that's cheaper than a dub (I don't have a PAL VHS player either, so it makes little difference).
Anyone have any ideas?

Pretty much all VHS decks and TVs you can get here will handle both PAL and NTSC natively, without needing a standards conversion.

And then comes the tricky bit - converting to DVD for future use
I think I have the equipment to do this so it should be fine.
