Default alcohol licence (again)

Hooray! I've got the forms, filled them in, got my documentation, had it stamped and signed and we're ready to go....

...how long does it take to process it? do they do it there and then? I want some booze for this weekend,

Usually 7-10 days but they may let you buy some on the strength of your application...so long as you don't look like an under-30s skinhead type

They guys told us up to a month, but if i kept the receipt and came back to their shop then they would just sell us it?! MMI on Al Wasl Road i think (the one to the left of Spinney's as you look at it)?

Here you drop your paperwork in to the police station on Sunday morning, and pick your licence up Sunday afternoon, the same day.

Not sure why it took so long I got all sorts of excuses ranging from "loads of applications" to "computer database problems"
