Default Al-Ain - any tips, advice?

Hey guys - I've just taken a position in Al-Ain... I have to admit I'm a little scared - I'm a big city girl going to the Middle East for the first time in 20 years. (I lived there till I was real young). Any tips on what to expect?

Hi Ucalyptus, what you going to be doing in Al Ain? My hubby is there and I can see that my dear friend Blue Cat has redirected you already. Nightlife is what you make it, i like going out for a meal and a drink somewhere but I and my Al Ain Man love to cook and have good company round the dinner table which often goes on into the wee small hours. I am still in UK but hoping to go over later in the year, hopefully see you there.

Al Ain is a very nice place, but it is quiet. So I guess it depends on what you are looking for.
