Re: Airport security ??
Depends on which airline your are travelling some are more strict than others but if you check the airline website they should tell you dimensions of hand baggage allowed. I seem to remember it shouldn't be any bigger than the average laptop case???

Hi Twink! I assume you are going through Heathrow.
the restrictions fo heathrow are;
*
56 centimetres tall (approximately 22 inches)
*
45 centimetres wide (approximately 17.7 inches)
*
25 centimetres deep (approximately 10 inches)
so your little trolley case should be fine
you just have to put any liquids into the clear bag they will give you.

I find its the depth thats the problem - also the length to which the wheels extend is also counted!!!!!!!! Whole thing is a nightmare

I have to be careful what I take back with me this time. I got royally shafted by Virgin for excess baggage when I came out!!

a close () friend of mine just flew home to see her family in Czech Republic. She flew with Jet2 and they even charge you for carry on baggage!

In fact when I booked the flight for me and junior the single fare for flight was £2.94 when I eventually paid all the taxes, add ons etc etc cost me £200 for me and her return!!!!!!

Re: Airport security ??
whereas ryanair(? - one of the no-frills carriers anyway, possibly flybe) charge you for check-in baggage (at a 'discounted' rate if you book a check=in bag online when you book your ticket)
