This new lead is authentic. What annoys me is, if this had happened in the uk, hopefully all the workers in the port on that particular night in question would of been sought out, interviewed and been made to make a statement by our authorities! Has only come to light because of a night worker at port Rashid off loading to somebody who off loaded to 7 days!

Us as a family and Timmy's wife (my gorgeous and incredibly strong niece) had just started to get a bit of normality back in to her/our lives and then this springs out!!!!

We did tell you they were shite and not to believe a word anyone said

It's just a crap paper looking for headlines, in reality it changes very little unfortunately, except rekindle a tiny hope for you all when you were just coming to terms with things

Then what did Timmy do to deserve this fate, what did you poor niece do to suffer as she is now? What did their children do?

Karma is just a bit of reassuring optimism.

I do sincerely hope you find peace though.

Yep so true!

Can you tell me, is 'The National' a better paper?

Also what would be the best paper in Dubai for us to be in touch with as a family for our cause?

Taking in to account we need taxi drivers and workers at the port to read these papers ok.

It is better IMHO, but none of them will print anything to contradict the authorities

Gulf News will have the biggest circulation

Sigh! As many posters have mentioned many times in this and the various other threads on this subject. The family needed to strike whilst the iron was hot, within days of the disappearance not months afterwards. The trail will be stone cold.

Fluffy, the chance of the workers in this area sitting down to read an article in the GN/National over tea and biscuits is slim to absolutely nil. What you really need is someone fluent in Hindi/Urdu with a descriptive poster in these languages standing in the area for a good few days and speaking to anyone who will listen. Offering rewards verbally to people with information. Getting on good terms with security in the area and encouraging them to speak to workers. Printing a story in a newspaper would not even reach 0.01% of that population.
