Says someone who clearly has no idea how little money a junior-rank earns in the British armed forces, let alone a missing junior-rank's wife (with family), who will probably be having to find a new home soon (she won't be allowed to stay in the married quarter for ever)... I expect she needs every penny she has ever saved at the moment.
