advice for opening bank account and wiring money

Hi, guys:

Please give me some suggestions on what the good banks are in Riyadh that expats open accounts with.

Also what are the safest and cheapest way to wire money internationally (US, UK or Asia).

Thank you.

SAAB are the ME arm of hsbc so maybe try them. We bank with Saudi HollandI and have no problems transferring money back to the UK. It costs us 25sar per transaction, plus £25 charge from our English bank. Nothing too troubling and once a month it's not going to impact your finances greatly.

If you are transferring money between currencies you can get better rates than are offered by your bank if you use a currency house. Even if your bank does not charge a fee they'll make their profit in the rate as, surprisingly, few people ever check this.

I use a UK regulated company, both personally and for my clients. and would be happy to provide details and an introduction, if required. Just PM me, or email me - contact info on my website below.
