Adverts on Dubizzle??

Adverts on Dubizzle??
Hello all!!
ok so I am new and ignorant..aanyway me and my husband are seriously considering to moving to Dubai for a year or two, starting around july next year. I have been told that the website Dubizzle is very good to find jobs etc (I would not want to move over there unless I know I have a job).
Tonight I decided I'd sell myself a bit, polished my cv and was going to post it on the website...BUT you have to have a valid UAE mobile number if you want to post adverts! ARGH!
so, question #1...does anyone know of any good recruiting agencies that I could register my CV with that don't require a UAE number?
#2, did anyone successfully apply for a job on Dubizzle? That site, particularly with regards to job offers, seems too good to be true...
Ok I think my first round of questions is over, thanks muchly in advance for the responses and sorry if this had already been asked. I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to forums.
oh and last thing...I have to make a confession, I am not British, but Italian. I moved over to UK a few years ago after I got married to an English man and will be getting my nice British citizenship next year! woot!
Thank you all
Naomi

As for recruiters, there's a massive list in the wiki...which are decent would depend on what field you're in though.

Hi Naomi,
Welcome to the site and good luck with the job hunt.
As Bob says - what type of employment are you looking for? This may help us to point you in the right direction. Also - it is pretty hard to be hired when you are not here in person, not impossible, but much harder I'd suggest.
In terms of registering your CV - I've not found that to be any use at all to be honest. For many sites you will have to register and it can take time on some of them, but don't expect this will mean they will actually use the CV and contact you - you'll have to regularly search each recruitment site and apply for individual jobs...
Dubizzle is good for apartments and furniture etc - but not so great for jobs, at least not decent ones....
Here are some that I think are decent (all types of industry with a slight leaning towards marketing / advertising / media).

Re: Adverts on Dubizzle??
Hiya guys,
Thanks for your help - i'm the member communication exec at david lloyd (the club chain), so anything to do with communication with customers, admin work etc would do for me plus I'm trilingual so I suppose I could use that as a prop too. I agree that it would probably be much easier if I was a resident there but I will have a look to that list Autonomy, that was very appreciated. Hopefully I wil lbe able to find something, it sounds like those website work like the english ones anyway!!
Mr O, let me knows how your wife does and good luck to her!
