Identity Theft
Yesterday I received our UK post for the last few months, and looks like I have fallen victim to Identity theft, someone has got a phone from O2 under my name an run a bill for almost a 1000 pounds and also found some details of store cards (mostly correspondence). Vodafone has sent a letter saying someone tried to obtain a phone under my name fraudulently and it was blocked.
What are my options and anything in particular I should do? worried as we have UK mortgages and credit cards etc...
Thanks
ER

Re: Identity Theft
to avoid this, all my UK correspondence (and I have a lot of it for various reasons) goes to a trusted friend's address. I suggest you set up something like that so that post isn't sitting on a doormat somewhere for anyone to pick up.

Re: Identity Theft
You could do a credit check (Experian etc) to see if anything else is showing up in your name.
