Hi All,

I have recently received a job offer from King Saud University and am looking into housing options before making a decision. Due to affordability and availability, it looks like western compounds are out so we are left with two options if we do accept:
Accommodation on campus
Renting an apartment nearby.

Does anyone know anything about staff accommodation on campus and the facilities that are available?

Welcome to Riyadh and KSU! Got here december 2009,
and got me (& my family - not yet here) a flat for 35.000 SR a year (4 rooms, no compound - of course)
I did not insist much on accomodation by the KSU, though they have it. Here's why:
- in high demand, and seemingly reserved for their own special folks.
- I get enough extra pay from ... daad.de -(yet not eough for compound life)

You should be more insisting, if you wanna have a chance to get one of tje KSU-homes.

Thanks Mark. It does look like they might be able to arrange something for us on campus so we'll see what happens. We're just trying to find my husband a job too before we accept.

If all goes ahead then it would be great to meet up. I'll send you a message with my details nearer the time.
