I'm going to pass through Dubai for a few days next week - can anyone recommend an inexpensive hotel?

I stayed there several times. When I moved out I had to hotel hop for a while. During DSF. This involved getting up in the morning at a hotel. Check out and leave my bags there. Go to work for a full day. Come back and collect bags. Get taxi to next hotel and check in.

Repeat for 10 days.

I stayed in several sh*t holes like Peninsula in Bur Dubai. Ibis was nice, Novotel better but about twice the price.

Honestly - for a budget end hotel, in my experience, the Ibis is the best around. You can also use the Novotel pool if you stay in the Ibis....

Other options... not tried the Chelsea, it could be ok? Rotana's?

Definitely not. I'm going to rent an apartment there but it's very expensive which I checked on the net. How is the really situation and condition of accommodation there? I prefer one-room apartment. Would here anyone like to give some suggestion.

I think I see... were you talking about the Chelsea Hotel Apartments? (I was talking about the Novotel pool.... anyway)

The Chelsea is very expensive. I think it's 120 or 140k per year, over 10,000 per month. For a one bed this is expensive. Per month short term it maybe more like 12,000 per month.

I hear it's nice, but do you want to pay that much?

I really cannot afford that too much things. Actually I only want to find a place to stay which under my budget of 1500 dirham/m I just graduated from school and find a job there. It seem that which you mentioned above is a kinda luxury for me. I'll be there at the end of April anyway.

Take a look at the newly opened (this week) dhow palace, it's in a decent end of Bur Dubai and may have some opening offers, don't have the contact details, just drove past it the other day.
