Accommodation
I'm going to pass through Dubai for a few days next week - can anyone recommend an inexpensive hotel?

Re: Accommodation
Thanks for that.
I just tried it, but nothing available, Is this a crowded time of year for hotels?
If you know of anything else good value....?

I used to live in Dubai and am passing through in the summer, thought I would give the Ibis a go, do you know anyone who's stayed at the Ibis, is it OK ?

Repeat for 10 days.
I stayed in several sh*t holes like Peninsula in Bur Dubai. Ibis was nice, Novotel better but about twice the price.
Honestly - for a budget end hotel, in my experience, the Ibis is the best around. You can also use the Novotel pool if you stay in the Ibis....
Other options... not tried the Chelsea, it could be ok? Rotana's?

The Chelsea is very expensive. I think it's 120 or 140k per year, over 10,000 per month. For a one bed this is expensive. Per month short term it maybe more like 12,000 per month.
I hear it's nice, but do you want to pay that much?

Re: Accommodation
Take a look at the newly opened (this week) dhow palace, it's in a decent end of Bur Dubai and may have some opening offers, don't have the contact details, just drove past it the other day.
