Default Abu Dhabi Visa's

My visa (AD) is yet again up soon (August). This is not a prob in itself as I'll just get my PRO chappie to get me a new one. My question is, have any of you lot heard a rumour that the AD Government are going to pass a rule saying that if you have an AD visa you need to actually live in AD. I can't see how this could ever be implemented and my PRO hasn't heard anything either and thinks it'll never happen but just thought I 'd better check. Saying that there are several sites in AD that you cannot get onto unless you have an AD visa (hence why I changed from a Sharjah visa in the first place) so they are fond of doing silly things down there - having to live in AD if you work in the AD Government for instance.

If this is looking likely to come in then I'm just gonna ask them to get me a Dubai visa this time. That'll be 3 Emirates down and only 4 to go!

Cheers

Apparently that Law only applies to people who work in AD Government establishments.

have been hearing rumours that its going to be applied to private companies too. also they are tweaking the rules at the moment, asking for a lot more information/documents, adec requring id numbers for all kids in schools along with plot numbers/house documents etc, and all school trips have now to be authorised by adec, they had stopped all year 7 and under going on overseas trips, also now to renew a childs visa its needed either birth certificate or id card originals of father etc. this wasnt the case last month... so its changing all the time.
