Has anyone converted a UK driving license to a UAE/International one? I have a limited amount of time during the week to do this and I need to avoid pitfalls. Any advice would be gratefully received. Specifically for a two part UK license do you need to get both parts translated or just the paper copy?

Go along to one of the providers/outlets with your UK license, the license fee, your passport with residance visa in and photograph fill the form in and thats it, very easy

You can do it with either the card or the paper copy. My photocard had just expired but the paper copy showed the actual license expiry date rather than the 10 year validity on the photocard.

Yes, you need a translation of either copy.

I think you'll find that just about everyone has done this. It's madatory to convert to a UAE licence when you get residency.
