Abu Dhabi - Serviced Apartments near the Beach
 

Hi all,

Had a search through the forum and little up to date info on this so thought I would ask....

I arrive in Abu Dhabi very early April and will spend the first few weeks in a hotel. Following that though I want to get a serviced two bed apartment with easy access to decent beaches (Corniche?), ideally with access to some decent leisure facilities such as gym, pool and bar!

Any recommendations and indication of cost?

My budget is OK in that my total allowance (covering all things not included in my salary) is a little over AED 250k pa, but wouldn't want to spend it all on accommodation....!

There will be a few. We stayed at the Beach Rotana when we arrived, on yhe east side. A friend stayed just off island at the Shang and loved it.

There might also be serviced apartments at the Eastern Mangrove and on Saadiyat.

Serviced apartments are often an expensive option. If you are confident that you'll be here for a year or more, worth considering an unserviced place and a trip to ikea. I've not done the maths, but friends of mine have, and the difference was quite substantial. Serviced apartments are great if you need the flexibility.

That being said, I had a friend who spent a year in the Shangri La serviced apartments, which do have beaches, pools etc.

to stay at the shang you will be spending quite a bit of your 250 allowance.

Thanks all. I'll have a look around and seek advice when on the ground and update the forum on final choice and costs (for future newbies like me)
