Applications and places have already been allocated but don't panic! There is fierce competition for school places and the applications were last month, however, most people apply to 2 or 3 schools (at least) so that skews the whole process. That means that a clear picture doesn't begin to develop until the end of the summer. It's a pain but most people get where they want even if they start in a second choice school and wait a bit. This is a very transient population and people leave all the time.

Geographically; you need to know where you'll be living (roughly on or off island) as BISAD is quite a drive from the Corniche (40mins on a good day) and BSAK is in the middle of the island and this can play a huge factor in where you want the rugrats to be.

Schools with a brit curriculum to contact are BISAD, BSAK, Aldar schools:Al Yasmina, Al Muna, The Pearl and a new one in Al Bateen and then Brighton College (starts this sept).

Good luck.
