Abu Dhabi Diving

Just in case anyone is interested, I went diving with a reasonably new diving outfit today. They are called Empros and operate out of Meena Port, and provide a really good day by all accounts.

They use a liveaboard that they brought from the Red Sea, not the fastest boat in the world but is spacious and has good facilities. They seem to have found a couple of newish reefs that were teeming with fish, obviously not east coast standard and visibility was only about 8m - but nevertheless were excellent for AD.

They also run fishing trips and fun days.

Can be found at www.emprosuae.com

Disclaimer: I have no connection with these guys apart from the fact that I intend to use them a lot in the future.

Nope, probably a private hire cruise or something. Visibility in the lagoon is about 1m so not much chance of anything underwater apart from plastic bags and bottles if last weekend was anything to go by.

Chris it is 400dhs if you have your own kit, or 500dhs if you need to use their kit.

I'll have a word with Majid on Saturday to see what he does about refreshers, I'm sure it won't be a problem. Most of the dives are about 13m max, the wreck diving which is 30m you will need to be advanced to do anyway.

THANKS BENZONAR

I am complete novice with only a couple of dives. Good info as I was looking for a diving outfit here but needed some reference.

Inse

East coast is a no go area at the moment, worst case of red tide for many years. Lots of fish dead and very little if any diving going on at the moment.

Chris,

I'm probably due a night out at some point so deffo up for a few jars.
