My husband lost his job in Abu Dhabi and the rules wont let me sponsor a maid..we were told about the ONE agency in Abu Dhabi that sponsor maids called sawaeed and frankly we wish we never bothered contacting them..can someone recommend an agency or know of a maid or nanny with own visa?!!! many thanks

dont go anywhere near a maid with an own visa, thats not a legal route too. try helpers, exiles, delight

If your husband's not working, couldn't he do the cleaning etc that the maid normally does? Or maybe you could do some after work, assuming you do work?

Apparently there have been instances of people living here without maids, and they manage to get by....
