Default Is 56k (GBP) enough???

Hello,
I've been offered a role in Qatar working as a planner in the IT field, given that I'm 39k here before tax.
Have I sold myself short???
This includes living allowance and an education allowance, but my daughter is pre-school.
Is this enough to live on and save. I was advised not push my luck, as there isn't money there once was.
Please let me know. I perhaps expected more! Am I pushing my luck. I'm yet to sign the contract. Is there still scope to negotiate????
Thanks All

Sounds low especially if you have a family to support. However you don't say what the role is so difficult to say for sure if the offer is duff or not. Different jobs pay different salaries...

It is almost double your take home compared to UK. Shouldnt you be laughing all the way to the bank?

Don't listen to others who have other skills that are more in demand and also get more money than you in the UK. Your skills in UK get you an X amount and same skills get you X multiplied by 2. The choice is yours.....

It's plenty........... especially for Qatar. Nothing to do with your role, or job title - that wasn't your question. You'll live well.
