5 weeks until we emigrate to Dubai
I have accepted a job offer in Dubai 
and handed in my notice with my current employer 
.
My wife and I plan to land in Dubai on 18th Nov, and start work on Sunday 26th Nov. We can't wait, soooo excited !

All the OH wants is a Range Rover 
and our dogs to be over there ASAP 
It looks as if we will be based in Springs. We have the company villa in Springs for the first month, then we have to find our own accommodation (with a company interest free loan).

buying a range rover in dubai - bad idea!! I know of too many people who either own one now or who've got rid of theres.
Air suspension takes a beating, v.expensive to repair, they're a nightmare.
Go for the big Toyota Land Cruiser or Prado or even the US 4x4's but give the Rangey a miss - unless you have VERY deep pockets

Good luck, mate. You're in for a ride, that's for sure. I've been here nearly 3 months and we're living in the Springs. It is a bit legolandish, but it's fine. Near the Marina and a couple of the better Malls. Read my blog for more info.
