On what conditions will the British Embassy in Dubai issue a second passport.

I need to leave mine in Dubai for residency, but have trips booked, hence the requirement.

I know that if you have to travel to Israel they will do it, but does anyone know any more????????

Just turn up with a letter from your employer (at best) or a letter from yourself stating that you need to make many business visits including numerous Middle east destinations (You don't have to mention the I word), pay your 640Dhs, wait 2 weeks, pick up second passport. But when you apply you need to take your original with you, they'll check that you've not entered illegally and give you it back. It must be the original.
