28th & 29th Feb in Dubai - What to do??
 

Hi,

Hubby and I will do a stop over in Dubai 28th & 28th Feb and want to plan the 2 days. Any suggestion , ideas highly appreciated.

Any ideas for shopping as I understand this is the festival season? We dont want the most expensive brands just the regular clothes, shoes and accessories would be fine for us.

The Mall of the Emirates is you best bet...all the shops are there, it's a nice Mall...

yeah, or Festival City which is getting better and better...

if you go to Mall of the Emirates, have lunch in Apres, you're overlooking the ski slopes and they do good food and cocktails...

Do the Big Bus Tour...it takes 2 hours if you don't get off and is great for getting a feel for the place. Take an abra across from Bur Dubai to the souks...and check out dubai museum which is actually not bad...

You could do a desert safari, although the weather isn't so good at the moment, hopefully this will have improved by the time you're here!!

Also, check out the Madinat Souk...it's got loads of bars/restaurants and clubs...as well as shopping (but bear in mind it's a manmade fantasy version of a souk!!)...great views of the burj etc from there...

If there are any other things you're interested in, let us know and we can give some more suggestions...

I have just been told that shopping festival will be over on 26th Feb? Will I miss it if I arrive on 28th Feb?

hehehe!!! But I am not sure if it ends on 26th Feb!!! I heard it was until the end of the month until I met this perosn and he said it was until 26th!!!!!


Appreicate if anyone could confirm this.

if you're looking specifically for bargains, then go to the outlet mall...about 20 mins drive out from dubai...
