Angry 2 day Eid holiday for private sector announced

Private sector holiday will be on the first and second day of Eid Al Fitr, announced the Ministry of Labour on Tuesday.

The holidays will start on the first day of Shawaal. The first day of Eid could fall on Tuesday, September 30, or Wednesday, October 1.

So Govt. employees get Monday-Saturday off, whereas we will most likely get Tue-Wed off:curse:.

Days off? Luxury!

What do you mean "guest"? If they told everyone to bugger off home two thirds of the population would leave and the place would be reclaimed by the desert in a few years. Imagine what that would do to their beloved property prices! Can't imagine there are many caravan traders that book into the Burj Al Arab TBH, nowhere to house camels see...

Aaah - Charismatic, Confu's remark was meant to be tongue in cheek

Think property prices are already depressed, read an article recently in which a developer is reported to have said that only 30% of their buyers were end-users. The rest were speculators. Little surprise then, Emaar's Mushrif development remains unsold. I am just hoping there will be no crash.

I haven't invested in the property market. But if there is a serious downturn then it will affect EVERYONE - some more than the others. And given that we all work here, I wouldn't wish that on anybody.
