Re: Who is from Yorkshire?
I spoke Yorkshire when I came here, That had to change and quick, nobody understood me, first thing I did was slow down, now I sound like just plain English, of course as soon as Im back on my old turf I turn on the old twang but people are not fooled... to them Im a yank...
Try asking for water in Texas. Apparently the word has no Ts in it. If I ask for a warder, like Mr. McKay in Porridge, everything is fine though.

Does anyone know if the Capital One League Championship will be shown in the States. I'm in WA State and would just love to watch my home town, Bradford City, at Wembley. I have done some searching, but not having any luck with a definate answer. Feb 24th is the game. Thanks!

I appreciate your help. I've looked at the sites you mentioned, but looks like it's not televised. It's being shown all over the world, pretty much, but not in the USA.

Why would they bother to televise a sport for girls that can go 90 minutes or more and end in a draw?

I'm trying my best to keep my accent too. Have you tried asking for a fork in this country?! Also yes... Sick of asking for water then having to say it 3 times... I've dropped the T from it and I just say wa'er like I would back home. They understand that better
