Who is from Yorkshire?
Anyone from Yorkshire? I am orignially from North Yorkshire would be nice to know if anyone was from my part of the world living in the US now.

I am actually from a small village called Knayton which is near Thirsk. Not sure if anyone heard about it at all. Thirsk is where the famous James Herriot stories come from but the gentlemens real name was James Alfred White and was actually born in Sunderland.

Middlesbrough was in Yorkshire when I was born My favourite city is York and if I return home for good that is where I hope to live (or thereabouts). My brother is in Settle and my daughter in Rotherham.

My last (and longest, just over half of my life in the UK) place of residence in the UK was Scarborough, do I count, even tho' I was born in London?
