Ha ha... Very funny you should mention the hamster. Turns out it would have cost £800 to shift him!!!! Tho I did have a very funny chat with a bloke from BA who seemed to think that a "well trained" hamster could go in the cabin?! Anyway, short of finding a New Jersey lookie-likey, we've decided to let him live out his remaining days with the grandparents! :-)

I think he'll have a very happy time with the grandparents! There are plenty of pet stores here - and some interesting options. One friend here has a chinchilla! Might make a nice buddy for the lookie-likey!

BTW - that excited, but sick feeling carries on for at least a couple of months after you arrive We've been here 6 months and I'm only just beginning to fully relax now!
Enjoy Christmas and good luck with your move.

Good luck for the move Bigfootmum! Summit is a lovely place, I'm sure you'll like it there.
Right, dates for Jan meet up- suggest 16th or 23rd Jan. Any preferences?

I suggest somewhere in the middle of where we are are.... Maybe Morristown? There is a great bar called End of Elm and it's near train station if anyone needs/wants to come in by train??

Great idea Sam! Ok, let's settle on 16th Jan, End of Elm in Morristown, 7.30pm. I will post again nearer the time to remind everyone.

Yes for 15 years. Homeless at the moment as we have sold the house. Staying in our condo in Toronto...hopefully we will get a visa to stay there.

I love Mendham, my daughter goes to school there. Hope to buy a house there once our rental lease is up. Good luck with your Canadian visa!
