I have quite a lot of relatives around Sacramento, the city itself has an ok downtown. Shame about the weather, though. Also currently suffering from it at my parents' house a couple hours south of there.

Also, Maker Fair was a couple months ago in San Francisco. I know a few people associated with the design/hacker aspect of the event, but I heard there was also a sizable steam punk presence there, too. Might be worth checking in the years to come.

Americans do not recognise that we have dual citizenship, legally we are but its frowned upon, when we took the pledge, that was it over and done with, I have been told this on many occasions....
