Hi,

I will be moving to Rochester, New York as a permanent resident, at the end of March 2014. Would be lovely to meet up with Brits living in Rochester, or nearby surrounding areas :)

I found the Erie Canal to be one of the fun parts of my last visit to ROC. Side trips to Niagara Falls and the Finger Lakes are also neat. The Glass Museum in Corning is fun. As was the Eastman mansion.

I head the weather forecast last week one day was for "brutally cold" with the next day being "less harsh."

I can see the mist rising up from the lake...forming the snow clouds...which head south in your direction.

If anyone does want to meet who lives in Rochester, just send me a PM and I will let you know my details - finding it a bit lonely at the moment and missing the sound of fellow British voices (yes I know there is always Downton Abbey on the TV, but it isn't the same).

I know it is scary and all meeting off the interweb, so if anyone wanted to suggest a public place (say The Olde Toad or The Spot) then we could all meet up there?
