Hi, I've recently moved to Traverse City in Northern Michigan and was wondering if there are any Brits up here..?

I lived in TC for four years (where I met my hubby) and only ever met one other Brit through the international student group at college. I think you might find it difficult unfortunately! I hope you are staying warm!

My sister in law lives in South Lyon and I was only down there a few weeks ago.

TC is a bit chilly to say the least. It's lovely up here though and you're right as I think i'm the only Brit up here!!

I'm moving to MI next month, although I'll be in the metro Detroit area. Hope to visit TC at some point as we have friends there, sounds amazing!

Hello! When you come up to TC give me a shout, it's lovely up here and a lot different to Detroit and Southern Michigan as a whole.

I've so far only met a Rhodesian and that is it!! So where snouts do you live in Northern Michigan..?

I'm in Michigan too. Close to Pontiac. Been here 15 years and love TC - you can get pretty good pasties there!

I passed by there a few weeks ago. My sister in law lives in South Lyon.


The pasties in TC are pretty good but the best ones I've found so far are up by the Mackinaw bridge. :)
