The usual, meetup and facebook groups I'd have thought, if that's your cup of tea...

This will probably be my vaguest post yet... there is a British pub in the Hollywood area +/-10mi (keeping my options open here, but I'm pretty sure it's NW of downtown) that apparently has a social scene. There's a bloke that posts here occasionally called Mark something or other who can tell you more.

I keep meaning to go myself as I have rellys up in Tarzana which is somewhere near... ish... maybe. There's a British shop in Tarzana too, very small but at least you can get Bisto there.

Are you thinking of the Cat and Fiddle?

http://www.thecatandfiddle.com/

That's pretty far from Calabasas though.

I don't know; there was a pub referred to by another poster. It might be it.

I think this link might work: here - if not, googling for British shop in Tarzana should work. But it is very small so don't expect much in there. And as it's imported, it's expensive. It's tucked away in a row of shops at the back of the car park behind Blockbuster/Cocos/Vons.

There's also Amazon. I ordered some curry powders from the UK from a recommendation on this forum and - just as the poster said - the package got opened by Customs! But they're pretty good mixes. Yesterday we had Peri-Peri chicken (ok, not Indian but from the same place) and the wife loved it - close but not the same as Nando's. Actually, around here there are loads of ethnic shops including Indian but even the Indian places don't sell the same stuff as the UK - different part of the Indian subcontinent I think, like Bangladeshi instead of Punjab cuisine or whatever.

I've lived here about 14 months now.
