Withdrawn Job Offer - Advice.

Re: Withdrawn Job Offer - Advice.
Crikey - anyone ever bought a 'fake' diploma online - it's a minefield , just been Googling it, loads of sites - which one do I trust?
Errmm, hang on. Just realised what I'm asking. Do I trust a site that knowingly sell fake / forged qualifications. Oh dear, what have I got myself into...deeper and deeper into the mire.

Tried Googling the certificate, the logo and anything else connected with the awarding body, but as they were taken over' some time in the mid 90's, there isn't much online relating to the original body, which is why it's proving so damn difficult to get a duplicate.

Someone who did the course with me? I did the course in 92-93 - that's like nearly twenty years ago! I cant even remember what I did on the course, never mind trying to remember who I studied with !
But - I do know someone who did the course the year before me, so might ask him if he still his certificate....

Or have they given the job to someone else by now?

You could try the Internet Archive. It's pretty good actually and you can find versions of websites from many many years ago...

if date was of any consequence to my post then my counter argument would be that the internet (or more accurately the world wide web which is today incorrectly referred to as the internet) actually started in 1992 (see History of WWW) however it was not...
my thinking was more along the lines that the awarding body was still present on the internet (world wide web) for some years after the internet kicked off proper. i don't know if it was or not, but just giving the man some options..

It does worry me if I want to leave Saudi to work in other GCC state ( I think after three years, I've hit the boredom thresh hold in Saudi ) , I'll have to play more on experience - and seeing as the qualification was 20 years ago, it's all a bit 'academic' .
I have provided a letter of verification from the University who confirm I enrolled on the course, and a letter from the Awarding Body to confirm they no longer hold any records of that far back, but both letters combined were still not enough to persuade the Qataris.
Well and truly hit a dead end, still trying hard to find a duplicate copy from a <ahem> 'reputable third party'.

?
many dates to mark the start of the internet but....
1957 = Possible start of 'it'
1958 = DARPA created
1969 = ARPANet
1983 = introduction of TCP/IP
what im saying is it wasnt exactly 1995.... but around that time is when it became popular but its a few years later when "everything" started to become internet based.

The first mainstream browser was bundled with Windows 95. Which was, coincidently, released in 1995.
My point that it's unlikely he will find a copy of a degree prior to the internet becoming popular on the internet is clearly lost.

I don't care when wankernet started. Mainstream internet was basically born in 1995. Before that spotty kids were dialing into message boards trying to share low res pictures of 70s porn.

Christ - I'm stuggling to find a certificate and you lot are arguing over the invention of the internet....
All good fun though chaps, much appreciated.
