What is the difference between.....?
I am not expat and I would like to know more about job offers and the procedures that follow by the expat employees after they get the offer.
I would like to know 1) What is the difference between Iqama and visa? 2) What are the types of visa? 3) What are the details that are mentioned in the visa? 4) Are these procedures different from country to country? Many thanks |
Re: What is the difference between.....?
Hello there,
I am not an expat also but I have done a little research and maybe this would be helpful for you. Look at my answers below 1) What is the difference between Iqama and visa? Iqama means temporary residency which is something you get after you get your job in the gulf region. Once you get a job offer, then the employer will give you a work visa that you uses to enter the country and after you enter , then you apply for iqama. 2) What are the types of visa? Visit visa and work visa. with visit visa you can not apply for work permit (Iqama) but with work visa then you can apply for Iqama. 3) What are the details that are mentioned in the visa? I don't know but I think if it's a work visa then the name of your employer and the position offered. 4) Are these procedures different from country to country? As far as I know they are similar People correct me if I was wrong :) |
