Hi all,

I am finding it hard to gauge the right salary point for a VP role at the PIF.

I have seen guidance that would imply around $325k and beyond and and have also seen figures that would imply $200k. This is an incredible range.

Is there a salary structure that varies on the role type? VP for Investment/PE versus VP for strategy in whatever area?

Has anyone got some quick and dirty guidance on this? PM is welcome.

Beyond this, has anyone heard of or received accommodation allowance? It seems they do not do that.

I used to work at another SWF in the UAE. VPs were being paid 60k to 80k AED per month (that included housing). Child care was additional but probably covered 50-75% for a british or American school. I understand the PIF generally pays more then the SWFs in the UAE but the constraint is they like to take your current salary and package and base your offer on that.

Thank you for that, you are right on the salary + x approach. It is not a good approach and leads to crazy low balling when you come from a different industry to the norm.

It seems that somewhere in the ballpark of $280k to $320k might be in the right ball park for a VP at PIF.

Its a bit more nuanced, factors will include
- your current work locations
- last salary and bonus
- how much the team wants you

The end result is a huge range.
