Taurus85's question - is transportation allowance a right in KSA?
I am a consultant at PIF for the moment and my employer does not pay/cover my transportation to and from work.
Could anyone tell me if that is a right or a negotiable item in a contract?

Got a feeling you've put this on the wrong thread! Let us know where it was meant to be and I'll move it for you.

Hi there.... to be honest, I looked, but couldnt locate any specific thread about benefits or labor law in KSA. Feel free to find my question a better home.

I would expect to see a total monthly package, split between Basic Salary and 'Allowances'.
We label all allowances in one lump under 'Living'. Some would do Housing, Transport, Flight etc etc or whatever other breakdown.
Very junior roles, I'd expect to see some transport provided - like if they're working for fast food place or a shop, they'll get a bus to/from provided accommodation. But for the more senior expat roles, it'd be something I expect someone to sort out - whether their own car, driver, public transport, cabs etc.
