Single mum considering move to Qatar

Hi,

I am a single mum considering a move from UK to Qatar with my 2 year old. I have seen some old posts stating it is almost impossible for an unmarried single mum to make the move, is this still the case or are there ways around it now?
I am aware I would have to obtain permission from his dad.
