If you are still in the position of being able to choose your degree course, make sure you do (a) what you are good at, and (b) what you enjoy. It really is as simple as that. Going to university for three years (or more?) doing something that gives you no sense of fun or enjoyment is likely to be a nightmare. There are plenty of people here who have no degree at all, and some of them are on The Bored, but they came out here armed with years of relevant experience - I assume you don't have that. |

BA(hons) fashion ; took over 10 years on shit money to get a decent salary though!

Re: A question
Study what interests you or it's a waste of time as you'll struggle to finish it...and by the time you've finished studying and getting a few years experience, what might be in demand may well be different to what is now, so very little point in following what doesn't interest you :/

I'd rather someone with a degree in medicine be the person to administer (legal, medicinal) drugs to me....compared to someone without.
A medical degree is more relevant than most, but you don't graduate as a qualified doctor. |

Bar that one guy who worked for the NHS on its IT systems, I'd wager not a single one of us out here came to Dubai with less than five years experience in our relevant field. |
