Hi all,

I'm keen to relocate to Qatar with my wife and two children (8 months & 2 years old). My job is in construction. I am a 37yr old Senior Quantity Surveyor with 15.5yrs post graduation experience and am a Professionally qualified (MCIOB).

Can anyone please advise likely monthly salary and expat allowances for the following: -

I was thinking how much for
Housing
Car
Flights
Schooling
Medical Cover (me & family?)

- 15,000 housing
- 3,000 car
- 5000 schooling (one kid)
- 2,500 flights

= 19,500 to spend on food and other shit and to save. That's about 3,300 sterling tax free.

So would 8,000QAR be enough for just food & entertainment?

Honestly, no idea mate. Family of four for food and stff, not a clue what your weekly shop would be. Entertainment can be as much or as little as you like. Seems a touch light but I don't know from experience!
