Prospects for a UK-trained property lawyer/solicitor in Dubai?
Hello people -
I'm asking this question on behalf of a friend of mine. He's a UK solicitor who currently deals in high-end commercial property in the SW of the UK, early career background in residential conveyancing in the same region.
How marketable or otherwise are his skills in the UAE?
Any advice would be massively welcomed.

Re: Prospects for a UK-trained property lawyer/solicitor in Dubai?
I've a friend here who is a UK trained and experienced property lawyer, out here with her husband... she's been job hunting for 2 years now, in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, but with no success. Normally is either seen as too senior (ie expensive, even though by now she is almost willing to work for peanuts), or unable to speak Arabic... There are firms who recruit property lawyers, but it seems to be very hard indeed to get into.
