i am a pipe welder, i have all international offshore survival certs, i have worked offshore in denmark etc, i want to leave uk as im unemployed and really want to start a new life abroad.
Can anyone give me any info on working as pipeline welder in dubai, kuwait etc either offshore or onshore.
List companies or agencies please and visa requirement, i have both uk and irish passports, i am dual nationality.
Please any advice much appreciated.

Having spent a lot of time in Liwa these last few months, I have seen a lot of work being done on pipelines. All of the workers looked to have been from countries such as the Philipines, India etc, as they will come and work here for 60-70 hours a week in up to 50C heat for a very low wage (maybe 2000-4000AED per month). They will live in workers camps and have a very poor standard of life compared to western expats.
Do some research as Meow has suggested and you will be able to confirm what I have said.
The best thing to do is to get yourself a degree and come out as a manager.

You cannot work as welder - those jobs are taken by indians and other asians at 8,000 to 15,000 month max. You have to get a job as a spread chief or supervisor. ,
