Physiotherapy in the middle east
Hi,
I am new to this forum so please accept my apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place. I was wondering if there are any British physiotherapists working in the Middle East here. I graduated 3 years ago and currently work as a locum, earning approximately 34k (post-tax) with overtime. Are there any specific countries that pay more than others. What is the average salary for an expat physiotherapist and where would be a good place to start looking for jobs? Any help would be appreciated! :) |

Looking for a job in the ME is non starter at the moment...….. full lockdown etc

In Physio you would be in competition with staff from The Philippines, who would take a quarter of the salary you would expect. Same applies to most auxiliary healthcare.

Re: Physiotherapy in the middle east
Have you considered NZ?
Salaries are high just now due to weakness of GBP against all major currencies. Best done whilst you are young, since age is a huge factor in the points-based immigration scoring system. Strong sporting sector, so I'd guess lots of work for a physio... |
Re: Physiotherapy in the middle east
Thank you all for your advice. I am nearing the higher taxpayer bracket, and as I currently work under an umbrella company, approximately 45% of my net pay is taken in tax, NI and other deductions, this was the main reason for looking at the middle east. I will take the advice on board! :)
