Jobs for girls!
Hi,
hubby has a job working in Al Ain and I am looking to join him next year.
I'm currently a practice manager at an NHS doctors surgery.
any ideas what it's like to get work in Al Ain without a job offer before I go there? Anything would be fine, not necessarily healthcare. I'll have to find something to fill my time or I'll go mad!
thanks

I work in recruitment ( 12 years in Dubai) and have never recruited for Al Ain and do not know of any agencies there
You could try the schools websites for admin roles. Medical admin roles here are very different to that of the UK ( Hours are longer, up to 8pm, they open on a Saturday and most are covered by nationals who accept less pay
You may have some luck in Abu Dhabi Al Ain is alot more sleepier than the capital. Networking is key and once you arrive you may find something via people you meet

Just be aware that it's close to two hours from Al Ain to Abu Dhabi. Dubai is a bit closer but it's still around 90 minutes.
I'm guessing the best option is admin roles in schools. Pay will be peanuts but it'll be something and will keep you busy enough.

Thanks for the replies. Not specifically looking to earn money.. just keep sane. I've never not worked (except for 6 months after having my son) so will go crazy sitting at home all day!!
