Job offer - Dubai

Hi Guys -

I have had a job offer in Dubai, 16k p/m and a car and fuel card, my question is, would this salary be enough after accommodation etc is paid?

Thanks

Just you, or you got wife, sprogs etc?

To be honest, its kinda an empty question, coz if thats 16,000 AED's, would say no way..

For a single person it is doable however your rent would be at least 5000 per month, then you have bills/food/going out/travel/emergency fun which leaves you with around 6-7,000 a month left
The UAE is expensive and it is easy to burn through money. The average cost of a pint is AED40

What's the job?

I moved out on a tiny bit more than that + commission, so it's very doable.

16,000
Rent a room / cheap flat = 5,000
Car = paid for (0)
3 flights home a year = 1,000
TV, Net, DEWA, Chiller = 2,000
= 8,000 gone on house, flights home, car and bills.
= 8,000 left for beers, cigs, massages and lunches at Nobu.

Joking aside, 8,000 is 1,000 week fun money and 4,000 a month saved. That's £800ish banked every month if you wish.

Definitely doable, but not luxury living or you'll be ****ed.
