Job offer accepted, now the wait!
I've accepted my Offer for Al Rahab hospital Hot a few bits of paperwork that need to be sorted before my nursing licence can be sorted. Anyone any ideas as to how long this could take?
They wouldn't budge on salary but it's still a reasonable package. Looking more and more like AD here I come. |
Re: Job offer accepted, now the wait!
Congratulations on your new job! I am still waiting for a telephone interview with the dialysis unit at Al Rahba hospital, this was organised through HCL as well, I was told about this weeks ago and haven't heard anything since. What made you decide to move to UAE?

Re: Job offer accepted, now the wait!
Hi.
Have you spoken to HCL since your interview? Decided to move to UAE as fed up with working in the UK. Money that bit better in UAE and to experience something completly different. You? |
Re: Job offer accepted, now the wait!
Hi Sarah,
I have spoken with Mark at HCL numerous times since my interviews, he just says they are slow out there, had to get some proof of attendance of 6 month renal course I did, that is suppposed to be what my offer is based on!! He said Al Rahba interviewers were in South Korea, so would come back to me sometime with date for telephone interview. So another week passes and I wait. Same reasons as you, things are rubbish in the UK and thought it was time for a change! Sam |
Re: Job offer accepted, now the wait!
Sam,
Hi. I had a face to face interview rather than a phone one. They do seem to be quite slow. Know that they are all back from south Korea. Just keep on with at HCL. Threaten to go with another agency and see if they move any quicker. It took 4 weeks for my offer to come through. Sarah |
Re: Job offer accepted, now the wait!
oh things can be extremely slow here, just dont give up everything until you know for certain, and then still dont cut all your ties.

Thanks for that on Visa stuff. I was anticipating a month or so. Looks like I could be arriving in the middle of the summer then, How mad am I!

Blue Cat, Thanks for the heads up on the possibility of the exam. It hasn't been mentioned yet.

Re: Job offer accepted, now the wait!
Hi
There is no longer an exam for MOH as it is no longer active. All nurses are now licenced by Abu Dhabi Health Authority, and this can only be acheived with your training transcript. specialisation is only offerd with certification of courses over 6months duration. if comming from Uk please be prepared for a professional culture shock. |
Re: Job offer accepted, now the wait!
Hi Sarah,
How has your week been? I have had a quiet week, not heard anymore, nearly fell out with HCL at beginning of the week but am now resigned to waiting for any word? Have you had to complete anything? I will finally get a training transcript next week, my course got swapped unis half way through so it complicated it. We'll keep waiting and get there one day! Sam |
Re: Job offer accepted, now the wait!
Just trying to sort out my verification of NMC membership at mo.
Trancripts will be interesting as my uni wanted to charge 75 quid for the privilege so got NMC to do it and it doesn't quite make sense. I am away for two weeks now so am just gonna chill and not worry too much. Sarah |
