A job at Mubadala
Hi all-
I've caught up on previous posts as much as I can so as to ensure I don't ask repetitive questions. I am contemplating a job at Mubadala.
With that said, what are the experiences of finance (or any other) professionals working in Mubadala, specifically:
-How do you/your friends who work there feel about the corporate culture?
-How do you/your friends who work there feel about the broader bureaucracy/HR?
-Salary comp to London/NYC/Singapore?
-Bonus package comp to London/NYC/Singapore?
-What have been perks they offer/cut back on relative to other big name employers (ADIA, Abraaj, EIIC, IPIC, others)?
I am not worried about the interviews, nature of the work or the post-Mubadala exit opportunities as much as I am worried about the "everything else" of daily life. Considering that a central part of this decision is my newly married wife who may or may not decide to work while there, we would appreciate any advice or feedback on the matter.
Best,
PEguy

Re: A job at Mubadala
MADLY, I was contacted through an alumni of my university directly, so I am not really sure which headhunters have on-going retainers with Mubadala.
I will tell you that for my current job we are too small to retain a headhunter monthly, but when we need one, we work with the same few that most of the NYC/London investment banking crowd uses (Amity, Glocap, Options, SG Partnerts).
I would assume there are global recruiter/talent placement/headhunter firms for engineering too, right? Why don't you identify one, find someone working there on linkedin who may have a vested interest in helping you (remember, you are a 'transaction' to them because they receive a success fee on your placement - also good ones to contact are overly ambitious young guys/girls, simply because they deliver more aggressively), and message them directly. Couldn't hurt, right? Good luck.

Would be interested in getting your take on EIIC. Tried PM but didn't go through. Grateful if you'd reach out.
