congratulations. Complete processing depends on timely degrees attestations, medical reports, etc, about 2 to 3 months are normal. It took me almost 9 months before I got my visa. The problem was at both ends.

Yes, you can take your family along with as the university sends visas for all of them. However, if you have small kids then better to come alone and after settling down bring your family. As the university will give you only 5 days stay in hotel and after that you have to arrange your own residence. With family it can be little embarrassing but peoples have experienced it.

I am Indian British...would it be possible if I decide to call my family later that their visas can be processed in India or do they have to be processed in UK.....

please do not hesitate to ask. I would be glad. In my information in KSA you would be the sponsor of your family and you can choose where you want to send their visas. So it should not be an issue if you want to send their visas in India. If you have UK passport and you have asked university to send your visas in London then your family visas could be issued from London up to one year and you do not need to send again. For India, you have to cancel the family visas from London and send them anew once you are here. However, the four air tickets probably would only be refunded from where you permanently live or your (not your family) visa issued.
Things with KSA may work in different way, above was my personal opinion.

I gave my interview for Lecturer position (Mechanical Engineering department) in IUM. I got a Job offer. I accepted that offer. They forwarded my documents to HR for further process. I am from Pakistan. I want to know about how much time they will take to send me a Visa processing documents? When will the new semester start in IUM?

Have some patience dear. You will need lot of it once you are in KSA. It may take few more weeks until your contracts are ready. Once you got contract then be in touch with your local Saudi cultural office for all the other formalities which they will tell you. Total processing time depends on both ends but it may take minimum 2 months. You can join the department at any time of the year. Semester will start on Aug 24 but you can join in Sep, Oct, Nov or even next year, depending upon when you get your visa. If you need any further assistance then please do let me know.

I got email from IUM job portal that click the link below to accept or reject job offer. It also says that link will expire in 96 hour and early reaponse will be appreciated.
So i clicked on that link on 14 june and accept the job offer. It display the message congratulation.
Next day when i open the link it display a message that you have already been accepted for assistant professor in IT department.
But after 96 hours, when i clicked the same link it says ur job offer is expired as u have exceeded 96 hours limit.
But i already accept the job offer on 14 june. I haven't get any email that u have accepted the job offered to you. Now it says job offer expired as u have exceeded 96 hour time limit.
Is that the same process happened with you? As for me I should get email from job portal atleast.
Is it something to worry about or it is ok.
This make me worry actually.
