The university is not able to use its own website ? Imagine what kind of educational establishment cannot use their own website ! Will they be equally incompetent in other matters ?

I'm new to this forum; I would like to know more about IUM especially from MSHQ who joined as faculty. How is the work environment, faculty housing, school for kids from North America and so on.

By the way, I recently been invited for an interview for faculty position at IUM in the faculty of engineering.

Would depend on your passport, I guess.

Your post in KSA is called "Demonstrator" (or Lab Technician). You will not be allowed to deliver any lectures, but just deal with lab activities, such as supervising students, cleaning all devices and marking students' lab work. I guess your basic monthly salary might be around SR 2,000 - 7,000 depending on your passport (or nationality), experiences or years after PhD and specialised area. MSHQ at IUM is the best person to answer this query, but unfortunately he has so far disappeared.

Hi Dear,

the work environment is excellent. Faculty is given housing allowance, they can choose themselves where they want to live. School for the kids are a bit problematic at the moment. There is one or two International schools having 'American' sections, but people say that only name is American, quality is not good.

I guess you should try for a Lecturer instead of Lab Engineer. Do not let yourself down. Salary estimate is already told.
