You're still quite funny.

FTR it is 65 days but you only really get 4 weeks but get the rest paid out.

Hello mates,

I have a quick question, I am a Financial analyst with 1 year experience (0.5 years at an investment bank, and 0.5 years in an SWF) and I am currently in the process of completing my MSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Leicester. I am currently interested into joining either ADIA or Mubadala, due to their aggressive strategies. I am a single male, and 25 years old.

If anyone can help me in the process of applying their that would be fantastic, or maybe give me some tips and tricks. I have tried searching google for such tips and tricks, and apparently, no luck.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

M.

Contact Matthew Hurn at Mubadala directly. He's Group Treasurer. Phone the main switchboard to get his e-mail address.

Be warned though - Mubadala are VERY demanding..............

in fairness. He is excellent - probably one of the best out here.

Even if he is totally deluded about the role of bond finance in project finance.

Hi

How did the 3 hour assessment go? Has anyone else attended the 3 hour assessment for ADIA? I have one coming up and am interested in knowing more about the numerical and logic tests, are they as tough as the usual investment banking tests?

Thanks in advance!!

where you study has no effect on how intelligent you are.

There's a saying of someone who completed a ph.d.

In February 1995, on a beautiful sunny day with clear Carolina blue skies, I turned in the final, signed copy of my dissertation. The graduate school staff member did some last-minute checks on the document and pronounced it acceptable. After six and a half years of toil and sweat, I was finally done! While walking back to the C.S. department building, I was sorely disappointed that the heavens didn't part, with trumpet-playing angels descending to announce this monumental occasion. Upon hearing this observation, Dr. Fred Brooks (one of my committee members) commented, "And the sad fact is, you're no smarter today than you were yesterday." "That's true," I replied, "but the important thing is that I am smarter than I was six and a half years ago."

Hello

I applied for a role at ADIA back in early 2010.
The interviews are OK - standard stuff. Going over your experience, talking through the CV and aking you about ADIA.

The assessment centre tests are quite challenging. The numerical and verbal reasoniong tests are fine - not too difficult.
I found the abstract logic test the toughest. They use a test book from the early 1980s. The abstract reasoning is different from the computer based numerical and verbal reasoning tests as it is paper based.

The best thing is to practise as many abstract reasoning - essentially spotting pattern in diagrams - tests as you can under timed conditions.
